William J. Green Federal Building

Daniel J. Keating was selected as the general contractor for the extensive building renovations at the William J. Green Federal Building in Philadelphia – a 10-story 708,975 SF office building. It was designed in conjunction with the adjacent James A. Bryne Courthouse and was completed in 1974. The main customer agencies are the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

The project includes tenant interior improvements as well as select building shell system upgrades in order to accommodate a wide range of Government objectives: renovate multiple outdated offices into flexible and collaborative workspaces, increase space efficiency and utilization throughout the building, consolidation of several government agencies, and improve building systems.

Overall, the project will incorporate sustainable design principles, efficient space planning, innovative technologies, and contemporary interior design to transform the building into a model workplace that is responsive to the existing building architectures.
