Daniel J. Keating was selected as the general contractor for the extensive and comprehensive renovation of the 15th Police District Building located at 2809 Levick Street in Northeast Philadelphia. Built originally in the 1950s, the building was in desperate need of refurbishment and repair. The officers of the 15th district and the neighborhood community are beyond thrilled with the beautifully improved building.
The extensive $12M interior and exterior renovations included the following: brand new private and open offices, locker room, detention space, processing area, reconfiguration of the building’s main entry stairway/ADA ramp, high-efficiency window replacement, building envelope improvements using an insulated metal panel system, and roof replacement including mechanical screening for HVAC equipment. The building was also awarded LEED silver certification.
