Northwest Transfer Station

Daniel J. Keating was selected as the general contractor for the brand-new Northwest Waste Transfer Station located in Philadelphia, PA.

Overall Cost / $23M
Owner / City of Philadelphia
Architect / DI Group Architecture
Project Status / Anticipated completion date of April 2025

The original transfer station was built in 1972 which initially functioned as a trash incinerator that was converted to a transfer station in 1982. Repairs and maintenance to the existing facility are not sustainable so a top load facility has been designed to replace it. The new facility will process up to 650 tons per day of municipal waste and recycling on an undeveloped portion of the existing property.
